Each division serves a different population including developmentally disabled adults, mentally disabled adults, children 0-3 years old with development delays and individuals with cerebral palsy and other neuromuscular disorders. After over 40 years, SCS continues to be a top provider of human services in the south and southwest suburban area and is set for future growth.

Since its beginning in 1971, Southwest Community Services, Inc. has always provided for the social, vocational and emotional well being of its consumers encompassing individuals with developmental, mental and physical disabilities.

A BIG THANK YOU to all who came out to Balmoral Racetrack on Saturday, March 22 and supported SCS in their first "Night at the Races". Over 170 people attended and helped SCS raise over $11,000! Whether you were bidding on a silent auction item, purchasing 50/50 raffle tickets, riding in the pace car or betting on the ponies - there was excitement everywhere!! Special thanks to Tom Selcke for his insight into putting a racetrack benefit together, his wife Gayle for allowing him to spend so much time at SCS and Fran and Jerry Michelsen for their generosity with the silent auction items.
